Who can do thisOwners, admins and recruiters

A Vibe coding round is a separate round for technical roles. The candidate builds or fixes real code in the browser, with an AI assistant if you allow one. You see whether their code passes your hidden checks, the final code and a replay of how they worked.

Vibe coding rounds are on Pro and Enterprise. Each completed round uses 1 credit. It is held when you send the invite, and released if the candidate never starts before the link expires, does no work, or you cancel the round.

For short code questions inside an AI interview instead, see Set up interview questions.

Hidden checks (not shown to the candidate)Calls into the candidate's code with inputs you choose, compared with your expected values.
Reference solution (never shown to candidates)A correct answer. Hidden checks must pass on it before the task can be sent.

Add hidden checks

Hidden checks are the only source of the outcome score. Test runs inside the candidate's workspace can be changed by their own code, so they are shown for information only.

  1. Under Hidden checks, add at least 3 checks. Write each call as module:function for Python or file.js:function for JavaScript. Comparisons are equals, approx, contains, not_contains, length, keys and raises.
  2. Add your Reference solution.
  3. Optional: click Suggest hidden checks to have checks drafted from the reference.
  4. Click Run checks against the reference. Every check must pass. Fix any that fail before you save.

Only the inputs reach the candidate's sandbox. The expected values stay on Infyva's servers, so they can't be read or faked.

Preview the round

Click Preview as candidate to see the brief, Done means and starter files as the candidate will. Hidden checks and the rubric are not shown.

Send the round to candidates

  1. On Settings > Vibe coding, click Send to candidates.
  2. Tick the candidates, or Select all who can be invited. You can send to up to 50 at once.
  3. Click Send with the count, for example Send 3 invites.

Each candidate gets an email with their own link. Replies go to you. If an email didn't go out, click Copy link and send it yourself.

You can also send a round to one candidate from the job's Candidates tab: open the candidate, click Send (or Send interview or Vibe coding) and choose Vibe coding.

If Send to candidates is greyed out, the task isn't ready yet, for example because its checks don't pass. The page says why.

To remove the round from the job, click Edit task, then Remove Vibe coding round.
