Infyva deletes interview data on a fixed schedule. A daily job deletes anything older than its period. You can choose a shorter period for your workspace, and you can place a legal hold to stop deletion while a claim is open.

Set a shorter retention period

Only owners can change this. One number applies to recordings, transcripts and reports.

  1. In the sidebar, click Settings, then Data and privacy.
  2. Under Retention period, choose Shorter period.
  3. In Delete after this many days, enter a number from 30 to 729.
  4. Read the preview. It says how many reports and interviews the next daily run would delete. This cannot be undone.
  5. Click Save retention period.

The number applies to recordings only when it is shorter than 90 days. For example, with 180 days, recordings are still deleted after 90 days, and transcripts and reports after 180.

To go back to the defaults, choose Default periods and click Save retention period.

You can only make periods shorter, never longer than the defaults.

A legal hold stops deletion of a candidate's or a job's interviews, recordings, transcripts, reports and resumes, for example while a claim or a preservation request is open. Retention and erasure requests skip held records until you release the hold.

Only owners can place or release a hold. Owners and admins can see them.

  1. Open Settings > Data and privacy.
  2. Under Legal holds, choose A candidate or A job.
  3. Enter the Candidate email, or pick the Job.
  4. Enter a Reason, for example "discrimination claim filed October 2026".
  5. Click Place hold.

The hold shows as Active, with who placed it and when. A hold placed by answering a privacy request is marked (from a privacy request). Placing and releasing holds are recorded in the audit log.

  1. Open Settings > Data and privacy.
  2. Under Legal holds, click Release next to the hold.

The hold shows as Released. The normal schedule applies again from the next daily run.
