Connect Lever ​

Who can do thisWorkspace owners and admins connect. Everyone on the team can import jobs.

Import Lever postings and opportunities into Infyva, send the Infyva interview when a candidate reaches a stage you choose, and send stage moves and interview notes back to Lever.

Before you start ​

You need:

  • A Pro or Enterprise plan, or the Pro trial.
  • The Owner or Admin role in Infyva.
  • Access in Lever to create API keys and webhooks (usually a Lever super admin).

Part 1: Create an API key in Lever ​

  1. In Lever, go to Settings, then Integrations and API, then API credentials.
  2. Create a key that can read postings, opportunities, stages and resumes, and write notes and stages.
  3. Copy the key.

Part 2: Connect Lever in Infyva ​

  1. In the sidebar, click Settings, then Integrations.

  2. On the Lever card, click Connect.

  3. Fill in the Connection form:

  4. Click Test connection. Infyva checks the key and stores nothing yet.

  5. Click Connect.

The key is encrypted and never shown again. The Connection panel then shows Connected, Write-back, Webhook URL (owners and admins only) and Last sync. Write-back is always on for Lever.

To change the key later, click Update credentials. The secret fields start empty: enter the Lever API key again, and the Webhook signature token too if you use one. A secret you leave blank is removed when you click Connect.

Part 3: Import postings and map stages ​

The Jobs in Lever panel lists your open postings. Click Refresh to reload it.

Import a posting ​

  1. Next to a posting, choose New Infyva job, or choose Map to: and an Infyva job you already have.
  2. Click Import.

Click Sync now at any time to pull in new candidates. Nobody is imported twice.

Map stages ​

  1. Click Stage mapping next to the posting.
  2. For each Infyva stage, pick a Lever stage, leave Match by name, or pick Don't move in the ATS.
  3. Click Save mapping (or Save and import).

Send the interview automatically ​

Set Send the Infyva interview when a candidate reaches to a Lever stage. Candidates already at that stage are invited on the next sync. Each candidate is invited once.

Without a webhook, mapped postings re-sync every six hours and whenever you click Sync now. With the webhook, changes sync within a minute.

Part 4: Add the webhook for faster sync (optional) ​

  1. In Infyva, click Copy next to Webhook URL on the Lever page. The URL ends in /api/v1/ats/webhooks/lever/ and a token unique to your connection.
  2. In Lever, go to Settings, then Integrations and API, then Webhooks, and add the URL to the events you want to trigger a sync.
  3. Copy the signature token Lever shows for your webhooks.
  4. In Infyva, click Update credentials, enter your Lever API key again, paste the token into Webhook signature token and click Connect.

Lever puts token, triggeredAt and signature in each delivery's body. Infyva checks that signature is the HMAC-SHA256 of token followed by triggeredAt, made with your signature token.

Good to know:

  • Webhooks are refused until the connection has the signature token. The page shows Add your webhook secret. until you add it. Scheduled syncs keep running.
  • Any event type works. Infyva reads your mapped postings again from Lever with your key, and does not trust the event's contents.
  • A delivery with the same token and triggeredAt received again within 24 hours is ignored.

What Infyva writes back ​

Write-back goes only to candidates that came from Lever. Results arrive as a note on the opportunity.

Check the Sync log ​

The Sync log lists every import, webhook and update sent to Lever. Filter it with All, Failed, Retrying or Sent.

An update Lever can't take right away retries on its own after 1 minute, 5 minutes, 30 minutes, 2 hours and 6 hours. If Lever rejects the key, the update fails at once and asks you to reconnect with a valid key. Click Retry on a failed update to send it again.

Disconnect Lever ​

  1. On the Lever page, click Disconnect.
  2. Optionally tick Also delete imported candidates who never had an interview.
  3. Click Disconnect.

The saved credentials are deleted and nothing more is sent to or read from Lever. Imported jobs and candidates are unlinked, and stored resume links from Lever are removed. Interviews and reports stay in Infyva.
