Live AI credits and billing
Available onEvery plan
Live AI interviews use the same credits as everything else, at 0.5 credit per minute of conversation. Only the minutes the conversation lasts count, never the full length you booked.
So the most an interview can use is its length in minutes times 0.5. For example, a 20-minute interview uses 10 credits.
You set the length per job, from 20 to 60 minutes in 5-minute steps. See How Nova works.
See the cost before you send
When you pick Live AI interview in the invite dialog, a cost line shows the most the interview can use and how many credits you have left. Only what the conversation uses is charged.
How credits are reserved and counted
- When the candidate joins, Infyva reserves enough credits for the full length. The reservation is the most the session can use.
- The clock starts when Nova starts speaking. Waiting for Nova to join is never counted.
- When the call ends, only the minutes the conversation lasted are charged, at 0.5 credit per minute. Minutes round up to the next whole minute, with a minimum of 1 minute, so a conversation of 12 minutes and 10 seconds counts as 13 minutes. Because a minute costs half a credit, balances can show half credits, such as 12.5 credits. The rest of the reservation goes back to your balance.
If the candidate joins and you don't have enough credits, the interview can't start. The candidate sees that the interview is unavailable right now and that the hiring team has been told. You get an email saying nothing was charged.
What is never billed
You are not charged for a session when:
- The interview failed on our side: Nova never joined, lost her connection, stopped responding or hit an error.
- Nova never spoke.
- We didn't capture the candidate's answers or Nova's questions.
- The interview was cancelled.
If credits were already charged for a session that later turns out to have failed on our side, they are given back. See If Nova can't join.
Interviews that end early
- The candidate leaves early. You are charged for the minutes used.
- Three window warnings or three conduct strikes end the interview. You are charged for the minutes used up to that point. See Camera and window checks.
