Connect Workable ​

Who can do thisWorkspace owners and admins connect. Everyone on the team can import jobs.

Import Workable jobs and candidates into Infyva, send the Infyva interview when a candidate reaches a stage you choose, and send stage moves and interview comments back to Workable.

Before you start ​

You need:

  • A Pro or Enterprise plan, or the Pro trial.
  • The Owner or Admin role in Infyva.
  • A Workable admin who can generate access tokens.
  • If you want results written back: the ID of the Workable member that Infyva should act as.

Part 1: Generate an access token in Workable ​

  1. In Workable, go to Settings, then Integrations, then Apps.
  2. Generate an access token with the r_jobs, r_candidates and w_candidates scopes.
  3. Copy the token.

Part 2: Connect Workable in Infyva ​

  1. In the sidebar, click Settings, then Integrations.

  2. On the Workable card, click Connect.

  3. Fill in the Connection form:

    Webhook signing tokenThe token used to sign your Workable webhook subscription (Part 4). You can add it later.

  4. Click Test connection, then Connect.

The token is encrypted and never shown again. The Connection panel shows Connected, Write-back (Off until you add a member ID), Webhook URL (owners and admins only) and Last sync. To add the member ID later, click Update credentials. The secret fields start empty: enter the Access token again, and the Webhook signing token too if you use one. A secret you leave blank is removed when you click Connect.

Part 3: Import jobs and map stages ​

The Jobs in Workable panel lists your open Workable jobs. Click Refresh to reload it.

  1. Next to a job, choose New Infyva job, or Map to: and an existing Infyva job.
  2. Click Import. Click Sync now later to pull in new candidates. Nobody is imported twice.
  3. Click Stage mapping. For each Infyva stage, pick a Workable stage, leave Match by name, or pick Don't move in the ATS.
  4. To send the interview automatically, set Send the Infyva interview when a candidate reaches to a Workable stage. Candidates already at that stage are invited on the next sync. Each candidate is invited once.
  5. Click Save mapping (or Save and import).

Without a webhook, mapped jobs re-sync every six hours and whenever you click Sync now.

Part 4: Add the webhook for faster sync (optional) ​

  1. In Infyva, click Copy next to Webhook URL on the Workable page. The URL ends in /api/v1/ats/webhooks/workable/ and a token unique to your connection.
  2. Create a webhook subscription in Workable that posts to this URL.
  3. In Infyva, click Update credentials, enter your Access token again, enter the token that signs the subscription in Webhook signing token, and click Connect.

Infyva checks the X-Workable-Signature header on each delivery: a hex HMAC-SHA256 of the request body made with your signing token.

Good to know:

  • Webhooks are refused until the connection has a signing token. The page shows Add your webhook secret. until you add it. Scheduled syncs keep running.
  • Any event type works. Infyva reads the affected job again from Workable with your token and does not trust the event's contents.
  • The same delivery received twice within 24 hours is ignored.

What Infyva writes back ​

Write-back needs the Workable member ID for write-back and goes only to candidates that came from Workable. Results arrive as a comment on the candidate.

Check the Sync log ​

The Sync log lists every import, webhook and update sent to Workable. Filter it with All, Failed, Retrying or Sent.

An update Workable can't take right away retries on its own after 1 minute, 5 minutes, 30 minutes, 2 hours and 6 hours. If Workable rejects the token, the update fails at once and asks you to reconnect. Click Retry on a failed update to send it again.

Disconnect Workable ​

  1. On the Workable page, click Disconnect.
  2. Optionally tick Also delete imported candidates who never had an interview.
  3. Click Disconnect.

The saved credentials are deleted and nothing more is sent to or read from Workable. Imported jobs and candidates are unlinked, and stored resume links from Workable are removed. Interviews and reports stay in Infyva.
