When candidates get reminders
Infyva sends reminders only for interviews with a set start time: a time you picked, or a slot the candidate booked.
- An email reminder goes out 24 hours before and 1 hour before the start.
- If the job sends texts or WhatsApp messages, reminders go there too, on the same schedule. See Send interview invites.
- If you reschedule or cancel, the reminders already queued are dropped.
Invites sent with Send now have no start time, so they get no reminders. There is no reminder before a link expires either. If a candidate hasn't started and the deadline is close, contact them yourself.
How long a link lasts

Infyva moves every deadline to the end of its last day (23:59) in the candidate's time zone, so a link never stops in the middle of an afternoon. When the candidate's zone isn't known, it uses the job's zone, then the zone you scheduled in. The zone is named in the invite and the reminders.
After expiry, the candidate sees "This interview link has expired" and is asked to request a new one from you.
Turn off a link
Turn off a link when it was sent to the wrong address, or you want to replace it.
- Open the job and click the candidate.
- On the Overview tab, find the Interview invite card and click Revoke link.
- Confirm Turn off the interview link?.
The old link stops working right away, wherever it was sent. A new link is made, but nothing is emailed: click Copy invite link and send it to the candidate yourself. Anyone who opens the old link sees "This interview link was turned off".
Reschedule an interview
Once a scheduled time has passed without an interview, the candidate's main button changes to Reschedule, so you can send a new invite. Candidates can't reschedule themselves. They are told to reply to their invite email, which reaches you.
When a candidate leaves partway
A candidate who needs a break closes the tab and reopens the link later, while it is valid. The interview's time keeps running while they are away.
A candidate who clicks Leave interview ends it for good. The answers they already submitted stay with you, and the candidate can't come back to the remaining questions with that link. You see a summary such as "Withdrew after seeing 3 questions, answered 2".
When the credit comes back
A credit is held when you send an invite. It comes back when:
- you cancel the interview,
- the link expires before the candidate starts,
- you reject the candidate before they start (any interview they haven't started is cancelled),
- the candidate leaves without giving any real answer, or
- you replace the AI interview with an interview with a person through an accommodation.
For a candidate who leaves partway, the credit is used once they gave at least one real answer. A placeholder for an answer whose time ran out, or an empty answer, doesn't count as real. See How credits work.
