Integrity evidence

Available onEvery plan

Every report lists the integrity checks that ran during the interview. A signal is evidence for a person on your team to review. It is never a verdict, and it never decides anything on its own. As the hiring manager page puts it: Decision support, not a decision.

Many signals have an innocent reason. Leaving the tab can be checking a notification. Looking away often means thinking. Watch the recording or read the answer before you draw a conclusion, and ask the candidate if something matters to your decision.

Where to find it

On a report, the Integrity section shows the answers in order with any signals marked. Open Integrity details for Checks performed, Response timing, Key findings and Recommended actions.

The report header sums it up with one line, such as 2 signals to review: ... or No integrity signals. Notes are shown as Note: ... and never count as signals.

Checks on an AI interview report

CheckWhat it looks at
Face presenceWhether a face was seen on camera, and whether one person was in view. Only the count of people is kept.
Tab switchesHow many times the candidate left the interview tab.
Window focusHow many times the interview window lost focus.
Copy and pasteText pasted into a typed answer.
Developer toolsHow many times the browser's developer tools were opened.
Browser extensions and overlaysA known interview-assistant extension, an on-screen text overlay, or text a script put into an answer. The computer's own dictation and autofill are not counted.
Screenshots and image pasteScreenshot keys, pasted images or screen recording.
Browser activityShown as Not checked when no browser activity data was recorded.
Answer reuseWhether one answer repeats another answer's wording.
Resume consistencyWhether the answers fit the resume.
Instructions to the graderThe answer spoke to the AI grader instead of answering. That part was ignored and given no credit.

If no monitoring data was collected at all, the report shows one row, Integrity checks, as Not checked.

If the candidate had an approved accommodation to turn off integrity checks, those checks don't run.

Checks on a Live AI report

A Live AI report shows its checks under Interview checks. Each row reads Passed, Needs review, Noted, Pending or Not checked.

CheckWhat it looks at
Face presencePeople in view during the call. Marked for review when more than one person was in view, or when no one was in view in more than a quarter of the checks.
Facing the screenLooking away for about 30 seconds or more, with the times. Marked for review so a person can watch those moments. It never warns the candidate and never changes the score.
Camera during the callWhether the camera stayed on. A note, never a warning.
Interview windowLeaving the tab, moving to another window or making the window much smaller. If the third warning ended the call, it says The third warning ended the interview.
NetworkA network lookup when the candidate joined. No VPN, proxy or hosting network found. when it passes.
ID verificationShown only when the job asked for an ID check.
Repeated or recited answersAnswers that repeat each other or read like a script.
Asked to skip several questionsA note only. It never needs review.

Only checks that ran are reported. A check marked Not checked was not run. See Camera and window checks.

How to review a signal

  1. Read the row's detail in Integrity details.
  2. Play the recording at that moment, or read the answer.
  3. Decide whether it changes your view of the evidence. If you're unsure, ask the candidate in the next round.

The band is set on the answers. When a report also has integrity signals, its suggested next step reads Review the integrity signals before deciding, so a person looks first.
