Appearance
Your privacy
Before anything is recorded, your interview shows a notice called Before you start. It says exactly what is recorded, what is monitored and how long data is kept, and you choose whether to agree. Your camera and microphone stay off until you do. This page sums up what the notice says.
Who decides
The company that invited you decides about your application. Infyva runs the interview for that company and processes your data on its behalf. A person at the hiring company makes the hiring decision, and you can ask for a human review. See Ask for an accommodation.
What is recorded
In an AI interview:
- Your spoken answers are recorded and turned into text, so the hiring team can listen to them next to your results.
- If the job records answers on video, each answer is recorded on camera.
- If your interview is not in English, your answers are also translated into English for the hiring team, who see your original words next to the translation.
- The camera check counts, inside your browser, whether one person is in view. It doesn't identify you, track your eyes or read your expressions. No video is sent to us or stored for this check. The hiring team only sees when no one, or more than one person, was in view.
- On the interview page only, we note when you leave the tab or window, make it much smaller, copy or paste, use screenshot shortcuts, or when known interview-assistant tools show up. Your other tabs and apps are not checked.
In a Live AI interview: the conversation is recorded, audio and video. The camera checks (one person in view, facing the screen) keep only their results. No face template is made and no frame is kept. We also note which network you join from, for example a VPN.
In a coding round: your code, your test runs and your conversation with the assistant are saved. Leaving the tab and large pastes are noted. Your camera and microphone are not used.
The hiring company may send your interview results to its own recruiting systems.
What is never scored
AI scores what you say against the skills for the job. It does not score your appearance, voice tone, accent, fluency or emotions. When answers are recorded on video, the scoring only ever reads the words, never the video.
How long your data is kept
| What | How long |
|---|---|
| Recordings of your answers | Deleted after 90 days |
| Videos of your answers | Deleted after 90 days |
| Live AI interview recording | Deleted after 90 days |
| Transcripts and reports | 2 years |
| Coding round work | 2 years, with the report |
| Your resume | 2 years after your last activity |
| Careers page applications | 2 years |
| Optional self-identification answers | 1 year, never shown to the hiring team |
| The record of what you agreed to | 3 years |
The hiring company can choose to keep your data for a shorter time.
Optional self-identification
After your interview, you may see an optional form to self-identify, for example your gender. Answering is completely voluntary. Your answers are never shown to the hiring team and never affect your score or any hiring decision. They are only used in aggregate to check the interview process treats everyone fairly.
Ask for a copy or deletion of your data
Use the privacy request form. You can ask for:
- a copy of your data, or a copy in a portable format,
- a correction,
- deletion,
- or for us to stop or limit a use of your data.
We confirm the request with a code sent to your email, send you a reference and a due date, and respond within 30 days. Because the company that invited you decides about its interview records, we also tell that company.
You can also email privacy@infyva.ai.
